FCL is Performance Certified by the Transportation Intermediaries Association!
The Transportation Intermediaries Association, or TIA, is a third-party logistics advocacy organization that helps 3PL’s, brokers, and carriers become the best transportation businesses and professionals by providing resources, support, and networking opportunities. TIA believes that, through shared ideals, their members can help hold the industry to higher standards and have a lasting impact on transportation policy within the Beltway.
FCL owner Destiny Jimenez and Operation Specialist Richard Lu became TIA Certified in 2019 after completing TIA’s Certified Transportation Broker (CTB) program. Program eligibility is determined through a combination of professional transportation experience and education. CTB candidates are required to complete three-months worth of coursework covering brokerage business principles, transportation management, and legal/regulatory issues before taking a certification exam.
Being a TIA Member grants FCL access to a wealth of resources such as professional conferences, industry tools and services, and peer support. Members must also adhere to the TIA Code of Ethics in order to ensure effective customer service and uphold the professional integrity of the greater transportation and shipping industry.
In 2019, the United States Congress declared June 28th National Logistics Day. As a result, TIA has designated the entire month of June as Member Appreciation Month. FCL is excited to celebrate with our fellow TIA members!
